    Description

    marketingskills bundles 47 markdown skills for Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, Windsurf and other agents that support the Agent Skills standard. Each skill encapsulates domain knowledge and a workflow for a single marketing topic, including conversion optimization for landing pages, signup and onboarding flows, copywriting and copy editing, cold email sequences, SEO audits, AI search optimization, programmatic SEO, paid ads, A/B testing, pricing strategy, referral programs, sales enablement and revenue operations. The product-marketing skill forms the shared foundation; every other skill reads this context first before it takes on a task.

    The repository is maintained by Corey Haines, who also runs the accompanying agency Conversion Factory. The quality and currency of individual skills depend on their respective contribution, and the collection grows through community pull requests. Anyone who only needs specific areas can pull individual skills rather than the whole collection through the installers.

    For Voyage Digital, marketingskills is primarily a reference collection for building its own marketing skills, and a source of phrasing and frameworks that can be checked against the skill library maintained in-house in the AI Hub.

    Limitations and notes

    • Version migration is not automatic According to the README, upgrading from v1.x to v2.0 leaves the old, renamed skill folders in place; they must be removed by hand, otherwise old and new skills exist side by side.
    • Watch the install context According to the README, when the CLI installer is called from inside a running agent session, it runs non-interactively and may only install into the universal .agents/skills/ directory, which Claude Code does not read, unless the target agent is specified explicitly via a flag.
    • Community-maintained According to the README, the collection grows through pull requests from individual contributors; the repository does not describe a central editorial quality control.
    • No market data of its own The skills provide frameworks and approaches for marketing tasks, but no market data or analysis of their own; strategic decisions need additional sources.

    Quick start

    1. Install skills via the CLI, either the whole collection or specific ones: npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills or npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills --skill cro copywriting.
    2. List the available skills beforehand: npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills --list.
    3. When running from inside an active agent session, specify the target agent explicitly, otherwise the command installs non-interactively only into the universal .agents/skills/ directory: npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills -a claude-code.
    4. Alternatively set it up as a Claude Code plugin: add the marketplace with /plugin marketplace add coreyhaines31/marketingskills, then /plugin install marketing-skills.
    5. After installation, ask the agent directly for a marketing task, for example homepage copy or a welcome email sequence; the matching skill is recognized automatically or can be invoked directly.

    Tips

    • When upgrading from v1.x to v2.0, remove the old, renamed skill folders by hand; the README lists the affected names under "Upgrading from v1.x to v2.0".
    • The product-marketing context file moved with v2.0 to .agents/product-marketing.md instead of .claude/product-marketing-context.md; move an existing file there before upgrading.
    • For setups running multiple agents at once, for example Claude Code, Cursor and Copilot in parallel, use SkillKit instead of the standard installer; it installs the same collection across several agents.
    • Before production use, install only the disciplines actually needed instead of the full collection, to keep the skill folder manageable.

    Access

    marketingskills is open source under the MIT license and freely available on GitHub at https://github.com/coreyhaines31/marketingskills. Access is through cloning the repository and copying the skill folder to ~/.claude/skills/. The repository itself also offers a CLI installer (npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills) and a Claude Code plugin through the marketplace feature; both install either the entire collection or individual skills.
