Description
Krea is a web platform for generating, editing, and upscaling images, videos, and 3D objects with AI. Rather than being tied to a single model, the platform bundles more than 40 image and video models from different providers in one shared interface, including Flux, Krea-1, Krea 2, ChatGPT Image, and Nano Banana for images, and Veo 3, Sora 2, Kling, Hailuo, Wan, and Runway for video. Users describe a subject through a text prompt, pick a model or let Krea choose one automatically, and receive multiple results for direct comparison, according to the provider in around three seconds for a 1024px image with the Flux model at FP16 precision. According to the provider, more than 30 million people use the platform.
Results from the free tier are, according to the provider, not licensed for commercial use; that right only applies from a paid plan onward. Usage through the REST API runs separately from the web app's credit balance and is billed through its own, dollar-based API balance. Building a custom model through LoRA training also requires several reference images of the same face, product, or style; without source material, the feature cannot be used.
The difference from single-model tools lies in access to a broad model selection from one interface: instead of maintaining separate subscriptions with every provider from Flux to Veo 3, models can be compared directly on the same prompt inside Krea. For teams that permanently need only a single, version-stable model in a fixed workflow, direct access with that specific model provider or a specialized standalone tool often remains the simpler choice.
