    Description

    Strengths

    Many models in one interface
More than 40 image and video models from well-known providers, including Flux, Veo 3, Kling, and Sora 2, can be tested and compared in the same workspace without setting up separate provider accounts.
    Own foundation model Krea 2
Krea 2 is an image model trained from scratch by Krea itself, focused on style control and visual aesthetics, which the provider has also released as an open-source version.
    Real-time rendering
According to the provider, simple inputs can be turned into photorealistic images in under 50 milliseconds, complemented by a real-time video feature with consistent frame-to-frame continuity.
    End-to-end tool chain
Generation, editing, upscaling up to 22K resolution, and LoRA training all run in one interface, so results can be carried forward without switching tools.
Developer access through a single API
The REST API bundles more than 40 models behind one endpoint, including webhooks, job status tracking, and SDKs for multiple programming languages.

    Assessment

    AI features

    • Text-to-image with model choice More than 20 image models and over 1,000 styles are available for text-to-image generation, including image references and style transfer for precise compositions.
    • Text- and image-to-video Videos are generated from text prompts or uploaded images, with control over the first and last frame and functions for extending and merging clips.
    • Generative editing Ten editing models, including Nano Banana, Flux Kontext, and Qwen, allow removing and adding objects, merging images, and changing expression or lighting.
    • AI upscaling with multiple models Seven upscaling models, including Topaz Photo and Topaz Gigapixel, scale images up to 22K resolution, while video upscaling reaches up to 8K, and frames can be interpolated up to 120 fps.
    • LoRA training on custom subjects With a small number of reference images of a face, product, or style, a custom model can be trained and then called on specifically in later generations.

    Suitable for

    • Creative teams and individuals who want to compare image and video models from different providers without managing multiple subscriptions
    • Marketing and content production that needs fast variations for social media formats, ad creative, or product images
    • Developer teams who want to integrate image, video, or upscaling functions into their own applications and pipelines through the API
    • Less suitable for Less suitable for teams that permanently need only a single, specialized model in a fixed, version-stable workflow; direct access with that specific model provider is often the simpler choice there

    Limitations and notes

    • Commercial license only with a paid plan According to the provider, images from the free tier are not licensed for commercial use; that right only applies from a paid plan onward.
    • API billing separate from app balance Usage through the API is billed through its own, dollar-based API balance and runs independently of the compute units in the web app plan.
    • LoRA training needs reference material A custom model can only be trained with several reference images of the same face, product, or style; without source material, the feature cannot be used.
    • Model choice remains the user's task With more than 40 available models, result quality and price per generation vary significantly, so comparing several models on the same prompt is advisable for reliable results.

    Quick start

    1. Sign up for free at krea.ai and activate the daily free credits.
    2. Write a prompt in the image or video tool and optionally upload a reference image.
    3. Select a model or test several models in parallel and compare the results.
    4. Upscale selected results in the Enhancer tool or continue editing them in the built-in editor.
    5. Create an API key under API Tokens to integrate Krea into your own applications and call the REST API.

    Tips

    • Test the same prompt on several models before settling on a result, since quality and visual style differ noticeably between models.
    • For campaigns with high consistency needs, train a custom LoRA model on product or brand images instead of re-describing the subject in every generation.
    • Use reference images when color, composition, or brand style need to stay consistent across multiple generations.
    • For API integrations, set up a webhook instead of polling to get notified when jobs finish without repeated status checks.
