Description
HubSpot is a software suite for marketing, sales, customer service, content marketing, data management, and quoting and billing, built around a shared contact and customer database the provider calls the Smart CRM. According to the provider, more than 299,000 customers in over 135 countries use the platform, connected through more than 2,000 integrations with existing tools. Around the CRM, HubSpot bundles several standalone products, called Hubs, for marketing, sales, customer service, content marketing, data management, and CPQ, billing, and payments, complemented by AI agents under the Breeze product brand.
The full feature set depends on which Hubs are subscribed to and which edition is chosen. The free CRM covers contact management, tasks and activities, pipeline management, a reporting dashboard, the mobile app, and the Breeze Assistant and an AI content writer, while more advanced features such as AI powered lead generation, omni channel marketing automation, or custom reporting are reserved for the paid editions, tiered from a Starter level up to an Enterprise level. Several of the newer AI features, such as the Breeze Prospecting Agent, the Data Agent, Content Remix, and Brand Voice, were still in beta status at the time of research.
HubSpot fits when marketing, sales, and customer service should run on a shared data foundation instead of separate individual tools, with the option to add further Hubs step by step starting from the free CRM. For teams that only need a single, lean tool for one function, or that depend on production ready AI features rather than beta ones, the platform is less of an obvious choice.
