Description
Blockbrain is an AI platform for enterprise knowledge management, developed in Berlin. The core idea: internal company documents, wikis and SharePoint content are made searchable through a RAG pipeline, so employees can retrieve answers from the company's own data through chat instead of searching manually. On top of this knowledge base, department specific assistants with their own data source can be set up, for example for HR FAQs, onboarding or product knowledge. On model choice, the platform is not tied to a single provider; GPT, Claude and Mistral are among the options available.
To connect to existing IT landscapes, Blockbrain ships enterprise connectors for Microsoft 365, Confluence and OneDrive, along with security features such as SSO, role based access control and audit logs. Data is stored in the EU, which sets the tool apart from many international alternatives and matters for companies with strict compliance requirements.
The honest limitation lies in the effort required before the first payoff: connecting the data sources and setting up clean knowledge hierarchies takes time, and outdated documents lead to poor answers. Even with a RAG pipeline, a residual risk of hallucination remains; it is reduced, not eliminated.
